Welcome to the James' Places website
Here you’ll find all the information you’ll ever need about our various buildings and businesses. What we do, where we do it, and when we are open….. which is, by and large, nearly all the time! You’ll also find details of special events, promotions and offers and any other bits and pieces that we’d like to pass on.
If you’ve been to one of our places and liked it, why not give the others a try? They’re all different in their own way but hopefully each one will feel familiar.
Thank’s for visiting the site and a bigger thanks for visting one of our places!
I recently visited the Royal Hotel after having lunch in Kirkby Lonsdale. My boyfriend and I decided to go to the Royal Hotel as we have visited many times for dinner, and thought it would be a nice change to just pop in and sit at the bar. I had a diet coke and my boyfriend had a cappuccino.
Had my wedding here mid September and I just wanted to write to say firstly thank you very much to all the staff and secondly encourage anyone looking on here thinking about having your wedding at Eaves hall to do it!
What a lovely place to have a wedding! Food, reception, disco, evening buffet... Perfect! Stayed over for the night... Room lovely and clean, comfy bed. Breakfast was great and served quickly. Well done, we loved it!! Would recommend this hotel for an evening out too.
Just back from attending a wedding at The Shireburn . The whole day was a very happy and joyful experience. The staff work extremely hard to ensure that all runs smoothly- & all is done with a smile. The food was good and the room was beautifully decorated.
Went to the cocktail night on last Friday in March, it was brilliant! Really good atmosphere, drinks were delicious and the saxophonist and dj were really entertaining. There isn't enough places in the ribble valley putting dj's / musicians on like this at the weekend, thanks Mitton Hall!
We've spent some memorable times at the excellent Royal Hotel in recent years, with family, with friends. Our wedding night was enjoyed in the sumptuous honeymoon room with nearest and dearest filling the hotel and accommodation throughout the most pretty Kirkby Lonsdale.
Fabulous décor, great staff and in the centre. Met family for lunch and it was exactly what we needed. The renovations are great and it makes me want to return and stay a night
Friendly staff who were very attentive.
Absolutely fantastic place, the hotel had charm and character, a beautiful setting for a wedding or any function for that matter. We had a brilliant day & evening. The Staff and Manager were very courteous, accommodating, attentive and welcoming. Rooms are of excellent standard have unique taste and deco.
We received a great deal on our stay here. We booked for the Summer sleepover deal and were upgraded to a beautiful room with a huge bed and stand-alone bath in the bedroom. Staff were so accommodating and went out of their way to accommodate our needs and wishes.
Recent stay with partner lovely hotel had room 11 which had bath in bedroom as well as full wet room stunning food in restaurant wonderful breakfast excellent.
Perfect place for a classy relaxing break all set in wonderful countryside close to lake district
Me and my fiancé visited the restaurant on Friday evening for dinner and it was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere, great food and excellent service. We're very much looking forward to our wedding here in 2017! :) xx
Stayed at this hotel the night before my wedding with family. Possibly i should have checked out the rooms - but turned out I had nothing to worry about as the rooms themselves were lovely. The water pressure in the showers weren't great, but there are baths as well.
A fine hotel in a great location in the centre of town. Stayed in room 3 which overlooks the main square. Staff were very welcoming. Although I have passed Kirkby Lonsdale many times on the way to Scotland I had never visited this charming town.
Have just come back down to earth with a bump after spending three wonderful nights at this lovely hotel. The staff couldnt be more friendly and helpful, yet highly professional.Too many lovely staff to mention..but management especially couldnt do enough for us.
Visited here with friends and were not disappointed. Attentative staff, good service and the food was lovely. Had all three courses and could not fault, worth a visit. I am returning in July for a wedding and I'm now looking forward to it!!
We called in on friday afternoon for a coffee and a spot of lunch, we could have stayed in the lovely comfy lounge all day.
The staff were very helpful when we enquired about rooms, Showing us a suitable room for my parents.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, and spacious.
Booked for one night for DBB for only £123. For this price we expected their worst room they had. We had room 2 which was at the front of the hotel . It was huge filled with high quality furniture. The only negative comment being such a large room there was only a standard double bed, which was lost in huge room.
